Earthquake Strikes Near Ocotillo Wells In San Diego County
The quake was reported Monday morning. Did you feel it?
SAN DIEGO, CA — A small earthquake struck Monday in San Diego County, a day after another quake rattled the region on Easter Sunday.
The 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 10:52 a.m. about 17 miles south-southwest of the unincorporated community of Ocotillo Wells, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was nearly 5 miles deep.
Residents in Julian reported feeling the quake, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map.

The earthquake struck a day after another quake rattled Riverside and San Diego counties.
The 3.2 magnitude quake was reported at 4:12 p.m. Sunday almost 4 miles north of Lake Henshaw, a reservoir at the southeast base of Palomar Mountain, according to the USGS. The quake, which had a depth of roughly 8 miles, initially was estimated at magnitude 3.5 but was downgraded.

There were no reports of damage or injuries due to either quake.
