Man Shot, Killed at Hotel in Palm City

The suspect in the early Tuesday shooting was last seen running from the area.

SAN DIEGO, CA: A 27-year-old man was shot and killed early Tuesday at a hotel in the Palm City neighborhood.

Officers were sent to the E-Z 8 Motel on Outer Road near Hollister Street around 1:20 a.m.. according to San Diego police. They found the victim suffering from at least one bullet wound to his upper body, SDPD homicide Lt. Ray Valentin said.

The gravely wounded man was rushed to a hospital, but died shortly afterward, according to the lieutenant. His name was withheld pending family notification.

A detailed description of the gunman was not immediately available, but Valentin said he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. He was last seen running from the area.

Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call police at 619-531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
