SAN DIEGO, CA — Monday, July 1, is the final day to pay delinquent property taxes before incurring penalties.
After Monday, unpaid bills will go into default and receive additional penalties of 1.5% each month, according to the San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office.
"The deadline to pay your delinquent property taxes and avoid additional penalties is (Monday)," County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister said. "Unpaid bills will go into default and receive an additional $33 redemption fee plus penalties that can add up to 18% a year — that is substantial."

The County Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office sent 1,013,632 tax bills in early October 2023.
Property taxes were due in two installments. The first property tax installment was due on Nov. 1, 2023. The second installment was due Feb. 1.

Residents can view and pay their bill online at sdttc.com before midnight Monday.
Taxpayers can also pay by phone at 855-829-3773, mail or in person at one of the branch offices before 5 p.m. Monday. Mail must be postmarked before or on Monday.
