SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – Is your mutt’s moniker or your feline’s furname among the most popular pet names in San Diego County?
Bella is once again top dog and Kitty remains the cat's meow, San Diego County Animal Services reported Friday.
The local list of the most popular dog and cat names did not change much from last year.

Bella has stayed at the top of the canine category for the past few years. Dog names are tabulated by looking at current dog licenses.
Kitty has also been the most paw-pular cat name for the past few years. Cat names are tracked at the time of adoption, when owners come to claim their lost felines and during microchipping. The list covers the last 12 months.

The names Max, Lucy and Charlie made the top 10 for both cats and dogs in the region.
