Pedestrian Struck By Car In San Diego's Mission Bay Area
A pedestrian was struck by a car in the Mission Bay area and suffered serious injuries, police said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A car struck a pedestrian near Mariner's Point Park Tuesday, leaving him with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, authorities reported.
The 40-year-old man was in a crosswalk in the 1600 block of West Mission Bay Drive when the 2012 Mazda hit him about 6:45 a.m., according to San Diego police.
Paramedics took the victim to UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest for treatment of head trauma and a broken leg, Officer Dino Delimitros said.

It was unclear if the motorist, a 25-year-old man, will be cited, or criminally charged over the accident.
