San Diego Animal Welfare Coalition Offers Free, Low-Cost Spay And Neuter Surgeries
San Diego Humane Society received a $10,000 donation to provide 50 free appointments for families earning less than $100,000 a year.

SAN DIEGO, CA — The San Diego Animal Welfare Coalition is offering free and low-cost spay and neuter surgeries as part of Spay/Neuter Awareness Month.
The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at San Diego Humane Society at 5500 Gaines St. in San Diego.
San Diego County Department of Animal Services and San Diego Humane Society are providing the procedures to address community needs and help prevent unwanted litters, according to the coalition, a partnership of local agencies dedicated to saving animals' lives, preventing animal suffering and eliminating animal abandonment.

San Diego Humane Society received a $10,000 donation to provide 50 appointments free of charge for families earning less than $100,000 a year. Additional services may have separate costs. Dog licensing and rabies vaccinations are required for dogs in participating jurisdictions.
Other organizations participating in Spay/Neuter Awareness Month include Chula Vista Animal Services, Frosted Faces Foundation, PAWS of Coronado, Rancho Coastal Humane Society and Riverside County Department of Animal Services.
