Sesame Place Now Open Daily For Summer Season

CHULA VISTA, CA — Sesame Place is now open daily for the summer season.

The Chula Vista-based theme park kicked off Sesame Summer Splash Friday, with water attractions and a lineup of events scheduled all summer long. The park will be open daily through Sept. 2.

Sesame Summer Splash will bring a wave of summertime events, including Oscar the Grouch's Birthday on June 1, Father's Day Weekend June 15-16, and Tango's Gotcha Celebration July 12-14. Dine with Elmo and Friends also opens this summer at the Sunny Day Café.

Sesame Place San Diego is the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning children's show. The 17-acre theme park features 18 Sesame Street-themed rides and water attractions, including a family-friendly rollercoaster and a 500,000-gallon wave pool, which is one of the largest in Southern California.

The park also offers Count's Splash Castle, a multilevel play structure that features 111 play elements. In addition, Sesame Place has an interactive Sesame Street neighborhood, live character shows, parade, musical play area and photo opportunities.

Sesame Place San Diego is located at 2052 Entertainment Circle in Chula Vista.
