1 Dead, 1 Wounded In SF Shooting

Police say there was a shoot-out in the Tenderloin district.

SAN FRANCISCO — One person was killed and another was wounded in a shoot-out in the Tenderloin district Saturday morning, police said.

Officers responded about 4:18 a.m. to a report that two people were exchanging gunfire in the 400 block of Turk Street, at Hyde Street, police said.

Police found two people with apparent gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The other's injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
