1 Found Dead In SF House Fire: Officials

The fire broke out Tuesday night in the 500 block of Dwight Avenue, authorities said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Fire officials are investigating a blaze in San Francisco on Tuesday night that appears to have left one person dead.

The fire broke out before 10 p.m. in the 500 block of Dwight Avenue, authorities said. Crews worked to quickly extinguish the flames, but the home suffered major damage to its interior structure, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

One person, meanwhile, was found dead at the scene inside the home. Their cause of death was not immediately known and authorities did not publicly identify them.
