11 Year Old Girl Grazed By Bullet In San Francisco Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — An 11-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet in a shooting in San Francisco's Hunters Point neighborhood on Saturday night, police said.

The shooting was reported at about 8:40 p.m. on Reuel Court.

The girl was standing outside of her home when two suspects began shooting. A stray bullet grazed her and she was taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The suspects fled and remain at large. No detailed descriptions of them were immediately available.

The shooting was one of four in San Francisco between Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

A 31-year-old man was injured in a shooting reported around 1:05 a.m. in the area of Turk and Leavenworth streets in the Tenderloin neighborhood. He is expected to survive, police said.

The suspect fled east on Turk Street and remains at large. Another shooting was reported at 1:23 a.m. in the 1500 block of McKinnon Avenue and caused life-threatening injuries to a 23-year-old man, according to police.

The victim and his wife had been walking east on McKinnon when a suspect approached and ripped the chain from his neck. The victim tried to grab the chain back and the suspect then shot him, police said.

The suspect, described as a male in his late teens or early 20s, remains at large.

At about 5:05 a.m., a 38-year-old man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound that he apparently suffered in the area of 24th and Valencia streets, police said. He is expected to survive his injuries.

No suspect information was immediately available in the case.
