13 Charged In Narcotics & Weapons Operation: SF DA

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Thirteen people have been charged in connection with recent narcotics and weapons operations in San Francisco, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced Friday.

Twelve of the defendants were arraigned Friday following a Fugitive Recovery Enforcement Team operation on Thursday, and other recent narcotics investigations. Another defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.

Six people, all hailing from San Francisco, face narcotics sales-related charges, including possession of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, prosecutors said. These include:

-- Karen Johnson, 61
-- Anthony Blancher, 32
-- William Wyloge, 40
-- Jae Sohn, 48
-- Tataneka Nelson, 50
-- Nelson Velasquez, 32

Four others, also from San Francisco, face similar drug charges as well as firearm and weapons allegations after authorities said they were armed when arrested, according to prosecutors.

-- Elsy Aguilar-Viera, 20
-- John Daugherty, 66
-- Clifton Martin, 68
-- Josae Hernandez-Navarro, 25

Three additional San Francisco residents were also arrested during patrol operations in the Tenderloin, Bayview, and Southern districts face multiple felony weapons charges, including allegations of unlawful firearm possession by a felon, along with narcotics possession charges, prosecutors said.

-- Keith Lindsay, 42

The cases follow a July 29 operation in Alameda County in which San Francisco narcotics investigators seized more than 8 pounds of narcotics allegedly bound for San Francisco, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Four Oakland residents have been charged with possession of fentanyl and other controlled substances.

-- Nestor Quinones-Cubas, 21
-- Wilmer Mendez-Raudales, 19

Prosecutors said Cruz and Mendez-Raudales were released on their own recognizance in other pending cases when the alleged crimes occurred.
