2 Men Arrested For Fatal Stabbing In Mission District

The city's most recent homicide involved a man being stabbed to death in the city's Mission District.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott said Saturday about his investigators making multiple arrests in connection with three homicide cases, the most recent one involved a man being stabbed to death in the city's Mission District.

It happened at approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday. That is when officers responded to the area of 15th Street and South Van Ness Avenue following a call about a stabbing there.

When officers arrived, they found a man on the ground suffering from possible stab wounds. Officers administered first aid until paramedics arrived to transport the victim to the hospital. The man died at the hospital.

Officers learned the suspects were still in the neighborhood based on information obtained. They located the suspects and based on probable cause arrested two men for homicide.

The case remains an active investigation.
