2 Men Suffer Life-Threatening Injuries In SoMa Crashes
Both crashes happened Thursday evening.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Two people suffered life-threatening injuries in two separate vehicle collisions in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood Thursday evening, according to police.
The first incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. near the corner of Folsom and 12th streets where a vehicle struck a bicyclist, police said.
The driver reportedly exited his vehicle and checked on the bicyclist. The driver, however, then got back into his vehicle and fled, according to police.

The bicyclist, a 58-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The second incident occurred near Sixth and Jessie Streets at about 7:45 p.m., according to police.

A 59-year-old man had fallen onto the ground, with his body protruding into the street, police said.
A vehicle making a turn then struck the victim's body before fleeing the scene.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
No arrests have made in either case and descriptions for the suspect vehicles were not immediately available.
