2-Year-Old Child Dies, Adult Injured After Being Struck While Crossing Street In San Francisco: Police
Despite the lifesaving efforts of first responders, the child was declared deceased at the hospital, police say.
SAN FRANCISCO, NY — A 2-year-old child died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in San Francisco Friday night, police said.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, an adult was also struck, but those injuries are non-life threatening.
The fatal crash took place near 4th and Channel Streets at about 8:55 p.m., police said.

Officers arrived at the scene and determined that the driver struck an adult and the 2-year-old child, police said. Both were transported to a local hospital — but, despite the lifesaving efforts of first responders, the child was declared deceased, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation; neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor at this time, police said.
