3 Hospitalized Following SF Fire

The two alarm fire in the Excelsior District killed 2 cats, hurt a firefighter, and displaced more than a dozen people.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Two cats were killed and three people were hospitalized following a two-alarm fire in San Francisco's Excelsior District on Monday morning, according to the city's fire department.

Fire officials wrote on Twitter at 10:51 a.m. about the fire in the 200 block of Vienna Street.

There was no update immediately available on the three people taken to a hospital.

A firefighter also suffered a minor injury that did not require hospitalization, and a dog was rescued at the scene, according to the fire department. Another dog and a cat are missing.

Fifteen people were displaced by the fire.
