4 Alarm SF Fire Snarls Traffic; No Injuries
Five neighboring buildings were damaged by the inferno.
SAN FRANCISCO — A four-alarm fire in San Francisco's Hayes Valley neighborhood has been contained with no injuries Tuesday morning, fire officials said.
The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed on social media that a blaze on Octavia Boulevard near Oak Street was contained as of 8:34 a.m.
According to fire officials, a fire broke out at a building under construction around 6 a.m. The fire escalated to four alarms by 6:30 a.m. and prompted 130 firefighters and 40 fire apparatuses to respond.

Five neighboring buildings have been damaged by the blaze, and eight people were displaced, fire officials said.
Residents can expect traffic delays in the area as fire crews remain on the scene.
