4 San Francisco Students Graduate From Stanislaus State

Their senior year was virtual, but the university held an on-campus graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Four San Francisco residents graduated from California State University, Stanislaus this spring.

Stan State held six on-campus ceremonies to honor the graduates.

After having spent their final year at Stanislaus State in virtual and online spaces because of the COVID pandemic, the graduates of the Class of 2021 assembled on campus May 26-28 for Stanislaus State's 61st Commencement.

The ceremonies were held in the campus's outdoor amphitheater. Stan State celebrated more than 3,000 graduates, including four from San Francisco—

  • Alexander Jamerson graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Amy Loberg graduated with a Multiple Subject Credential in Multiple Subjects
  • Laura Avelino graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice
  • Dana Suleiman graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science

California State University, Stanislaus has two locations in the Central Valley— a 228-acre campus in Turlock and another in Stockton, located in the city's historic Magnolia District.

Stan State offers 43 majors, 41 minors and more than 100 areas of concentration, along with 16 master's degree programs, seven credential programs and a doctorate in educational leadership.
