5 People Injured In Overnight San Francisco High-Rise Fire
People were trapped on balconies by the flames.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Five people were injured in a high-rise fire in San Francisco early Thursday morning, as residents were reportedly trapped on balconies more than 10 stories above the street.
The victims are in stable condition, according to the fire department.
The three-alarm fire is now out, and residents have been allowed back in the building, although 23 apartments are deemed uninhabitable.

The fire was at 440 Davis Court, in San Francisco's Financial District. It was first reported at around 1:30 a.m., and was reported under control at 3:42 a.m.
The Red Cross is assisting residents who were displaced by the fire.
