Winning $699.8M Lotto Ticket Sold In California
A California Lottery player snagged a $699.8 million ticket, the first Powerball Jackpot of the year.

MORRO BAY, CA — A Golden State shopper nabbed a $699.8 million ticket this week, marking the first Powerball jackpot of 2021. It was sold in Morro Bay.
The winning ticket matched all six winning numbers — 66-12-22-54-69, Powerball 15 — in Monday evening's draw. The lucky Californian won the 5th largest Powerball jackpot and the 7th largest jackpot in state history.
The winner will not be identified until they claim their prize from the California Lottery. The victorious ticket holder will need to fill out a claim form here. The state also has some 23,000 lotto retailers where suspecting winners can fill out forms.

The ticket was picked up at Albertsons on 730 Quintana Rd. in Morro Bay. The grocery store will receive a maximum bonus of $1 million for selling the ticket.
The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
