Amber Alert Issued For Toddler Abducted From San Francisco: CHP

BREAKING: Police believe the two may be heading south on Interstate 5: Police

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — An Amber Alert has been issued by the California Highway for several Bay Area counties this afternoon. San Francisco police say 21-month-old Makai Bangoura was taken by Jason Lam, 30, who may be suicidal. Lam is an Asian man, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police are looking for a tan 2000 Toyota Corolla with the license plate 5SEY238. Both the suspect and one victim are believed to be in the vehicle. If you see the car, call 911 immediately.

Relatives of Lam said he recently experienced mental breakdowns, officials with the district attorney's office said.

The alert has been issued for Alameda, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa and San Francisco counties. No other information is available.
