SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents could see light rain this week in some parts of the San Francisco Bay Area, according to the National Weather Service.
"Morning drizzle likely along the coast," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Monday. "Cooler weather continues this week. Chance for light rain Wednesday through Thursday in North Bay."
In other news, a barber was sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a customer; crews rescued four people from a burning building; and a police sergeant shot in gunfire exchange was released from the hospital.
Also, a man accused of trying to help carry out a plot to kill government officials at a UFC fight on the White House lawn in June also planned to target AI Data Centers in the Bay Area, according to federal court records.
Plus, a federal judge in California said the U.S. government is unconstitutionally silencing critics of Israel's war in Gaza and others as part of the Trump administration's quest to deport noncitizens who it says disrupted college campuses while expressing their views.
