CA Family Members Killed In Small Plane Crash: Report

The four people who were killed in a small plane crash in central California were identified this week.

VISALIA, CA — A single-engine plane crashed just minutes after takeoff in heavy fog on Saturday, killing four members of a Sacramento-based family, the Associated Press reported.

The small aircraft crashed in dense fog Saturday evening shortly after takeoff from Visalia Municipal Airport, killing everyone on board, the Tulare County Sheriff's Office reported.

The victims were identified Monday as 78-year-old David Chelini and his two daughters, Karen Baker 46 and Dona Chelini, 48, and his nephew, 58-year-old Steven Chilini, the AP reported.

The single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza was reportedly registered in David Chelini's name.
