The GOLDEN GATE PARK BAND (GGPB) Announces 2026 Spring & Summer Concerts – 144th Season.
April 26 – Sept. 27, 2026 (25 Concert dates)– Sundays* at 1:00 pm - usually end between 2:30 and 2:45 pm. There is no intermission. Founded in 1882 the GGPB holds the distinction as San Francisco’s Oldest Musical Organization. Now a LEGACY BUSINESS in SF, the GOLDEN GATE PARK BAND (GGPB) performs FREE weekly concerts at the Spreckels Temple of Music (also known as the Bandshell), located in Golden Gate Park, 75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive (at Music Concourse Drive – btwn. de Young Museum & Academy of Sciences) SF 94118. Featuring over 30 professional musicians, the GGPB performs a wide variety of wind-band music that reflects the culture, traditions, and values of San Francisco and the Bay Area while delighting audiences of all ages and interests. Seating is first come first served. Park benches are set up in the music concourse.
Guests may bring picnic blankets and small folding chairs for additional side seating.
The GOLDEN GATE PARK BAND (GGPB) 2026 Summer Concerts – 144th season opens a special “Pre-Season Dance” on Fri., April 10, 2026 at 4:30 pm and will continue on Sundays at 1:00 pm on April 26 through Sept. 27, 2026. There will be special concerts on July 4 (Sat.) and Sept. 7 (Mon.) Labor Day. Additionally, a myriad of San Francisco / Bay Area cultural organizations will be featured throughout the season. The music of Poland, Armenia, Scotland, Hungary, Ukraine, Mexico, Ireland, and Spain will be showcased at dedicated concerts. Performances for Juneteenth and LGBTQ+ Pride will be highlighted in June, along with an August performance in celebration of first responders. Families will also enjoy the dedicated Mother’s Day, a special concert for Kids, and a concert featuring the music of Disney. All concerts that feature music of specific nationalities or cultures include costumed guest performers, dancers, singers, and speakers who will enlighten and entertain.
