Queer Prom Brings Carnival Magic to Local Youth
An inclusive, joy-filled night for LGBTQ+ youth and allies
Alameda, CA - Alameda Pride and Queer Teen Center (QTAC) proudly present a carnival-themed Queer Prom for LGBTQ+ youth and their allies in grades 6 through 12 on May 8th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Alameda Veterans Memorial Building.
This free event reimagines the traditional prom as a vibrant, affirming celebration where young people can show up exactly as they are. Guests will enjoy carnival-style games, dancing, snacks, and exciting raffle prizes-all within a safe, welcoming space that centers queer joy, creativity, and connection.
With colorful decor and a festive atmosphere, the Queer Prom offers a memorable alternative for youth who may not feel represented in traditional school dances. Allies are warmly encouraged to attend and celebrate alongside their friends.
