Through hands-on herbal medicine making and guided reflection, you'll explore the yang energy of the Summer season. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Summer embodies the element of fire-reflecting joy, expansion, and growth. Like tree roots grounding downward into the earth and flowers blooming, this is a time for growth in motion.
You'll learn the properties and energetics of herbs such as Hibiscus, Chrysanthemum, and Peppermint-plants known for their ability to regulate the body's temperature and soothe the nervous system. Tea infusions are made from herbs and other plant materials (flowers, roots, stems, fruit, etc.) and lead to a medicinal benefit for the body.
