CALIFORNIA — Another cycle of brutal storms is set to hit the Golden State, just days after the area experienced massive flooding as residents rang in the new year. The rainfall was so intense, that it washed away a 200 foot section of a 34 mile levee system in south Sacramento County. Crews are currently racing to repair the damage ahead of Wednesday's storm and if they can't, they will seal whatever progress they have made with plastic and sandbags, according to AP News.

The Sacramento region experienced around 5 inches of rain while the Sierra got a foot of snow.
