Caltrain Strikes, Kills Pedestrian In San Francisco

Some trains were running more than an hour and a half late some three hours after the accident.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The Monday morning commute came to a screeching halt for hundreds of Caltrain passengers when a northbound train hit a pedestrian in San Francisco at 7:50 a.m. While the tracks have been cleared, trains were still running more than an hour and a half late some three hours after the accident.

Earlier, trains were single-tracking through the area, just south of the 22nd Street station.

Around 500 people were on the train when it struck the person. No one on the train was injured.
