NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should know that after one more day of warmth Monday, cooler weather is expected this week. More clouds, breezy winds and some drizzle are possible, according to the National Weather Service.
"Warm inland temperatures expected through today before cooler, unsettled weather returns Tuesday and continues through late week," NWS Bay Area forecasters wrote Monday. "Light rain chances for Thursday night and into Friday."

In other news, a former Bay Area police officer working as a sheriff's deputy in Idaho was shot and killed by a suspect in Boise, authorities said. Deputy Tobin Bolter, 27, was shot after he pulled the suspect over on an outstanding warrant.
Five people who work as security staff at a Bay Area bar were arrested after allegedly beating a patron, police said. They were arrested on suspicion of battery causing serious bodily injury and criminal conspiracy.

Police seized more than 13.5 pounds of narcotics and made 13 arrests this week near United Nations Plaza and the San Francisco Public Library, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The seizure was the latest operation that is part of the city's Drug Market Agency Coordination Center.
