DeMarcus Cousins, Golden State Warriors Reach Deal: Reports
The news was reported by Yahoo and ESPN, citing league sources.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA ā As the saying goes, the rich get richer. And with DeMarcus Cousins reportedly reaching a deal with the Golden State Warriors, the team now has what could only be described as an embarrassment of riches.
League sources confirmed the deal to ESPN and Yahoo, with ESPN reporting that the deal is for one year and $5.3 million.
The news comes just a day after superstar LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers ā who the Warriors swept in the NBA Finals last month ā and announced he would be taking his talents to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Cousins, whose nickname is "Boogie," was traded from the Sacramento Kings to the New Orleans Pelicans in the middle of the 2017 season. He tore his left achilles though and underwent season-ending surgery Jan. 31, which will likely sideline him for part of the upcoming season.
Cousins, a four-time NBA All-Star, turns 28 in August. He has averaged about 32 minutes and 21.5 points per game in his career with 11 rebounds to boot.

The Warriors previously re-signed Kevin Durant, so the team is poised to be the favorite to win another title, which would be the fourth in five years.
