Dump Your Ex's Junk For Free: Valentine's Day Truck Standing By
If the bloom is off the rose, and you want to make a clean break, consider this one-day offer from Junk King's "Dump Truck" in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, CA â Lovey-dovey Valentine's Day can be tough for the broken-hearted.
And the good folks at Junk King of the Peninsula understand that, which is why they are hosting a "dump day" Feb. 14 in San Francisco, where those still reeling from a break-up can rid themselves of their exes' left-behind belongings.
On Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., those stuck in Splitsville can bring that cringe-worthy stuff â the Nerf balls, those T-shirts, framed photos of "happier" days or once-upon-a-time-cutesy gifts â to the company's red âDump Truckâ outside the Woodbury pub, 685 3rd St. in San Francisco.

"The idea came about when Junk King was thinking about how many people it helps declutter their lives," management said. The Valentine's Day Dump "is a way to help empower the heartbroken, as well as continue the companyâs 'green initiative' where the items collected are further donated to charity or recycled."
In keeping with that mission, Junk King will accept nearly everything, but items that can be recycled or re-purposed are most desired. Super-sized items are not a great idea. So if your ex was a billiards shark, perhaps ditch that pool table elsewhere.
