Earthquake Shakes Off Coast Of Northern California
The quake triggered a ShakeAlert but no tsunami warning, according to the USGS.
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — An earthquake struck over the weekend off the coast of Northern California.
The 5.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 11:21 p.m. Saturday more than 45 miles west-northwest of Petrolia, an unincorporated community in Humboldt County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The 6-mile deep quake triggered a ShakeAlert but no tsunami warning, according to the USGS.

Residents reported feeling the quake in several Bay Area cities, including Dublin, Oakland, Petaluma and San Jose, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map.
There were no reports of damage or injuries due to the quake.
