SAN FRANCISCO — As the San Francisco 49ers plan to square off their week one matchup against the the Pittsburgh Steelers at 10 a.m. Sunday, a new report shows the team and league are rolling in the big bucks.

The average NFL team is worth $5.1 billion, Forbes reported — 14 percent more than 2022, and a record high. The 49ers, meanwhile, saw their valuation increase 15 percent to $6 billion, according to the report.

Perhaps the least surprising part of the report: the Dallas Cowboys were the most valuable team, at $9 billion, according to Forbes. “America’s Team” was the only NFL team to rake in more than $1 billion in revenue.

The Tennessee Titans saw the highest year-over-year increase in valuation, climbing a whopping 26 percent to $4.4 billion.
