Hidden Dressing Room Camera Leads to Arrest
San Francisco police report the camera was hidden in a clock in the dressing room.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — An employee of a clothing cleaners shop on Divisadero Street allegedly spied on at least six women undressing by using a video camera hidden in a clock, police said Wednesday.
Andrew Hong, 31, was arrested March 25 at his San Francisco home on suspicion of six misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy, San Francisco police Officer Robert Rueca said.
Authorities were alerted when a victim filed a report last fall, saying she believed she had been secretly recorded in a dressing room at the shop in the 1100 block of Divisadero Street.

She told police that she was there to have a clothing item altered and noticed a clock inside the dressing room.
After leaving she discovered that the clock was possibly a camera used for home security, and found reviews mentioned that other women had been harassed by a male employee at the shop, police said.

The woman told police she was concerned she had been recorded. Investigators found that five other people had filed police reports documenting similar incidents in which Hong placed a clock inside the fitting room and constantly adjusted it throughout their fittings — raising suspicions about the clock.
"All the victims expressed concern that the employee was requesting that they undress for their clothes to be altered while being recorded," police said.
Police obtained a search warrant for the business and Hong's residence, and he was arrested in the first block of Lobos Street, police said.
