Holiday Heroes Returns Live & In Person on Dec 7 at Oracle Park

The Bay Area’s beloved Holiday Heroes returns to a live, and in-person magical event to bring holiday joy while raising critically needed funds for children and families in crisis on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. at Oracle Park in San Francisco. Tickets are available at holidayheroes.org

This year Holiday Heroes will celebrate in three wonderful ways. First, in accordance with San Francisco guidelines, vaccinated guests ages 12+ and guests 12 and under attending with a vaccinated adult are welcome. Holiday Heroes is a masked event with proof of vaccination required. This is subject to change, as WWFC monitors all state and local guidelines. Holiday Heroes will be outdoors, weather permitting. For those who prefer to celebrate at home can enjoy an online experience, At Home With Holiday Heroes, presented by Kaiser Permanente. Donors can order Wonder Boxes filled with goodies and treats to be delivered to their front door. And to raise spirits and bring joy to 300-underserved children, supporters can order and send Be-A-Hero boxes.

“Our mission is to create moments of wonder that spark a lifetime of possibility as we take over beautiful Oracle Park for one night on December 7th and turn it into a holiday wonderland. We join with local teams, companies, organizations, and philanthropists to connect at-risk children with professional athletes. Holiday Heroes is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and though this year might look a little different, our heart and mission of 27 years remains the same,” said Amy Wender, founder and President of the Wender Weis Foundation for Children.

In-person guests at Holiday Heroes will have a chance to meet their favorite sports personalities and participate in the activities including holiday arts and crafts, stuff your own toy stuffed bear, face painting, cookie decorating, a teen lounge for ages 11- 17, photo trading cards, magic tricks, and more. In addition, WWFC will present their prestigious Inspiration Award and Community Philanthropy Award and there will be an incredible online auction filled with one-of-a-kind experiences, trips, sports memorabilia, and more

“Our legacy gifts to the community are the foundation of WWFC and we are pleased with the new inclusive fitness zone with the 49ers Foundation, naming a room on the bone marrow transplant unit for kids undergoing bone and marrow transplants at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, refurbishing a basketball court with the Warriors Foundation in South San Francisco, being an initial funder and partner of the music therapy program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital,” said Amy Wender.

Funds from Holiday Heroes will serve to underwrite the construction of safe, permanent play spaces for Bay Area youth. Event chairs for Holiday Heroes are Ashley and Morgan Berman and Elizabeth Johnson and Ed Conlon. Honorary Chairs are Michelle Gilman Jasen and Rich Jasen and Emilie and Andrew Lynch.

WWFC also supports Bay Area non-profits that serve children and are pleased to have donated $4.9 million dollars to their beneficiaries and non-profits in the community, hosted over 5,500+ at risk-children to Holiday Heroes, served over 50,000+underserved children and 600 professional athletes and celebrities have donated their time to attend Holiday Heroes.
