How A Bay Area Doctor Could Help The Seahawks Win Super Bowl LX: Report

The Super Bowl may come down to one factor: Who has the best sleep doctor?

PALO ALTO, CA — When it's all said and done, Super Bowl LX may come down to who has the best athletes or quarterback, but, least expected of all, who has the best sleep doctor.

A Bay Area doctor is helping the Seattle Seahawks improve their chances of lifting the Lombardi Trophy by teaching them how to optimize their sleep performance and travel more strategically during the season, according to a report by KTVU.

Cheri D. Mah, MD, MS, a sleep physician and adjunct lecturer at the Stanford Sleep Medicine Center, told KTVU that she tries to devise strategies to help athletes sleep better on the road, "whether that's sleep tools or thinking about their sleep environment.

"A lot of the sleep science still applies in terms of some of these key fundamentals of what we know is required for us to get quality sleep," Mah told KTVU. "It's not just duration, it's the quality and the timing of your sleep that we know are critical."
