NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should know that more rain is expected this week. The National Weather Service issued a Hydrologic Outlook for the region, forecasting moderate to heavy rainfall Wednesday through Friday from Napa and Sonoma counties south through Monterey and San Benito counties.

"Impactful storm system still on track for Wednesday with widespread moderate-to-heavy rainfall," NWS Bay Area forecasters wrote Sunday.

"Stage set for widespread moderate-to-heavy rain Wednesday into Thursday, with lingering
scattered showers into the weekend," forecasters wrote. "Another round of rain by the end of the weekend."
