Investigation Underway Into Mysterious Death At SFSU
Nickie Young, 24, was found dead at Mary Ward Hall.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- An investigation is underway into the death of a San Francisco man found unresponsive earlier this month at an on campus residence hall at San Francisco State University, university police said Tuesday. On Feb. 6, someone notified police at 10:18 p.m. about 24-year-old Nickie Young, who was reportedly unresponsive at Mary Ward Hall.
Police Chief Jason Wu said officers went to the residence hall to do a welfare check and found Young unresponsive.
Young was not a student at the university and police believe he was visiting the campus as a guest, Wu said.

The cause of Young's death has not been determined yet, according to the San Francisco medical examiner's office.
Wu would not confirm whether Young's death is being investigated as a homicide, saying however, that "currently there are no suspects" and the case remains under investigation.
