NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect generally dry and warm conditions through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

"Gusty north winds across the interior North and East Bay mountains with a wind advisory in effect through 2 p.m.," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Monday. "Winds diminish later this afternoon into the evening, with generally dry and warm conditions through Saturday."

In other news, a live grenade was tossed from a stolen car during a Bay Area police pursuit; an escaped inmate was captured at a casino; one person was killed in a four-vehicle chain reaction collision; and two people were wounded in a shooting at a restaurant.
