SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The California Highway Patrol tweeted a heart-stopping photo of a fire on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. The fire was attacked by firefighters on the bridge and from a fire boat below.
For a time, all eastbound lanes were closed.
However, just 12 minutes after the first tweet, the CHP announced that San Francisco firefighters had doused the fire. A mere 11 minutes later, all lanes were clear.
