Man Convicted In 'Violent' Attack On Women In San Francisco: DA

The defendant assaulted one victim and left another with a "bloody bite wound," prosecutors said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A man has been found guilty in connection with a "violent" assault in the Bay Area last year that left two women with various injuries, according to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office.

Maurice Smith, 55, was found guilty of domestic violence and battery, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors say an intoxicated Smith attacked a woman the afternoon of July 1, 2025. When the woman's relative tried to intervene, Smith attacked her too, prosecutors said.
