Man Killed In SF Police Shooting
The shooting happened in the Bayview District on Wednesday.
SAN FRANCISCO — An investigation is underway after San Francisco police shot and killed a man in the city's Bayview District on Wednesday afternoon.
The man was fatally shot after he approached officers making an arrest about 3 p.m. near Fairfax Avenue and Catalina Street, Officer Robert Rueca said.
The suspect was allegedly carrying a firearm, but police didn't describe the gun or how it was displayed.

The man was taken to a hospital with injuries considered life-threatening and later died. It's not known if he had any connection to the person being arrested.
Rueca said police would hold a town hall meeting to address the officer-involved shooting.
