NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As a new week begins, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for a great week.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should know that a heat advisory has been issued for Tuesday for parts of the San Francisco Bay Area, according to the National Weather Service.

"Warm temps continue early this week," NWS Bay Area forecasters wrote Monday. "Hot Tuesday where a heat advisory has been issued. Cooling trend kicks off Wednesday with normal temperatures expected by the end of the week."

In other news, five people were hospitalized in the wake of a Bay Area mass shooting, police said. The victims were at an illegal sideshow in Oakland.

A former teen counselor for a Boys and Girls Club in the Bay Area was arrested on suspicion of sexual offenses with minors in an undercover operation, police said.

A man's body was found near the main entrance to City College of San Francisco, police said.

Nine people were arrested for retail theft in a Bay Area "blitz operation," police said. The alleged thieves were from Oakland, Concord, San Pablo, Sacramento, San Jose, Port Costa, Pittsburg and Santa Barbara County.
