Merryhill Preschool Students in San Jose Hold Butterfly Release

Students recognized Earth Day by releasing nearly 200 butterflies in their schoolyard

Students at Merryhill Preschool in San Jose have caught the environmental bug! On May 6, students celebrated Earth Day and taking care of the planet by releasing nearly 200 butterflies throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment. Leading up to Earth Day, students observed caterpillars, their cocoon development and transformation into butterflies. Merryhill Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
