New Public Defender Swearing-In Set
Former Public Defender Jeff Adachi died unexpectedly in February.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA —Newly appointed San Francisco Public Defender Manohar Raju will be sworn into office by Mayor London Breed on Thursday, according to the Public Defender's Office.
The swearing-in will take place at noon at the Ella Hill Hutch Community Center gym located at 1050 McAllister St.
Breed chose Raju, formerly a deputy public defender, to succeed Jeff Adachi, who died suddenly in February.
