Outside Lands is back next weekend. Here's what not to do.

A recent study from Four Loko asked 1,815 veteran festival attendees about festival etiquette. What’s considered good and bad behavior? Here’s your guide.

The biggest faux pas is urinating outside designated Porta Pottys and bathroom spaces. It's hot, there's a line, we get it, but no one wants to see it or smell it.

The second most annoying behavior is the over prevalence of signs. Whether you're a die-hard fan, or just along for the ride, festival regulars say signs should be used sparingly so that everyone can enjoy and see the show.

Rounding out the top three festival annoyances is just general bad hygiene. No one smells fresh as a daisy after three days of camping, drinking, and recreating, but festival regulars wished that those around them try to stay as clean and odor-free as possible. Those surveyed gave "smelly bodies" an average 7.0 on a scale of 1 to 10 most annoying habits.

On the flip slide, festival attendees don't seem to mind a handful of behaviors many others may deem irritating. According to the survey, the least offensive behavior witnessed at festivals is others singing along loudly. Respondents gave loud singers a 2.0 out of 10.0 on the annoying scale. The second least annoying thing people can do at a festival is just talk during a set, followed by funny t-shirts of costumes.

Surprisingly, concert-goers are relatively tolerant of cultural appropriation when it comes to others wardrobes. Headdresses and other traditional garb has often been appropriated by millennial and Gen Z women, but according to Four Loko's survey, festival attendees only gave cultural appropriation a 4.7 out of 10 for "annoying" behaviors.

If Outside Lands isn’t your only festival stop this season, now may be the best time to make sure you avoid these faux pas and enjoy the shows without disturbing your neighbors.
