Police Arrest Suspect in October Fatal Stabbing

The stabbing was originally reported Oct. 11 in the 2000 block of Market Street.

SAN FRANCISCO — A San Francisco man suspected in an October stabbing death is in custody, police said Monday.

Christopher Redinger, 37, was arrested last week in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in the city's Duboce Triangle neighborhood.

The stabbing was reported about 8:30 p.m. Oct. 11 in the 2000 block of Market Street, where officers found the victim, a 44-year-old man. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
San Francisco police homicide investigators identified Redinger as a suspect in the death and he was arrested on Dec. 8 in the 900 block of Bryant Street.

Redinger was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of homicide and probation violation.
