SAUSALITO, CA — This harlequin-faced seal was photographed by Janet Erickson in Sausalito on near Pelican Harbour on June 5. Janet tells Patch, "I caught this beautiful nursing mama resting near her child. I loved how she posed for me. I also loved the 2-tone look of her face where the dark side is wet and the light color is the dry side. She had been resting with the right side of her face in the water."
