Revolving Sushi Bar Set To Open At Stonestown Galleria In SF

Kura Sushi brings its Japanese cuisine & unique serving system to its newest locale in San Francisco.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Kura Sushi, a Japanese restaurant that brings a high-tech, conveyer-belt serving system to diners, will open its newest location Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco.

The “Kura Experience” features a revolving sushi bar, the "Express Belt" for made-to-order requests and the "Bikkura Pon Prize System," with an anime, table-side video for every five sushi orders and prizes dispersed for every 15 plates.

The menu offers a wide array of sushi, rolls, hot rolls, hand rolls and crispy rice dishes, plus salads, soups, ramen and desserts.

First launched in 1977, the Kura Sushi operation prides itself on authentic Japanese dishes with recipes passed down over the years and made with natural ingredients, free of artificial sweeteners, seasonings, preservatives and colorings.

The San Francisco site will be the chain's 33rd restaurant in the U.S. Other SF Bay area restaurants are in Pleasanton and Cupertino. Find all locales here.
