San Francisco Business Openings Begin Monday

Beginning Monday at 10 a.m., San Francisco is planning to allow most retail businesses to resume operations.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — San Francisco Mayor London Breed and Director of Health Dr. Grant Colfax on Thursday released guidelines for businesses in the city eligible for curbside or storefront pickup as the city continues to battle of the spread of COVID-19.

Beginning Monday at 10 a.m., San Francisco is planning to allow most retail businesses to resume operations with storefront pickup as long the city continues to make progress in reducing the spread of COVID-19, city officials said in a statement released Thursday.

For businesses to reopen, they must prepare, post, implement and distribute a social distancing protocol for each of their facilities along with a written health safety plan that addresses all applicable best practices that are detailed in the relevant health officer directives, officials said.

Officials said key requirements of the current health order will remain in place, and residents must continue to follow social distancing requirements and wear face coverings when waiting in line for pickup or inside of businesses.
