Popular SF Restaurant Damaged By Fire

The fire broke out on the roof of Kokkari Estiatorio.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A fire broke out today on the roof of a well-known Greek restaurant in San Francisco's Financial District, fire officials said.

The blaze was reported at 10:08 a.m. at Kokkari Estiatorio, located at 200 Jackson Street.

Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control within about a half hour, according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported and the damage to the business appeared to be minimal. City services, however, have been made available as a precaution, fire officials said.

The blaze is not being investigated as suspicious.
